Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GymNavi, operated by , uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and web app at https://gymnavi.app. For more about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
The short version
- We use only the cookies needed to run the website unless you agree to more.
- Marketing cookies (the Meta Pixel) are used only if you click Accept in our cookie banner.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of our website pages (the home page, the sign-up questionnaire and the legal documents).
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a website keep information on your device. They help a site remember you are signed in, your language or your choices, and can also be used to measure advertising.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by other companies whose services we use (third-party cookies).
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for the website to work and to provide the services you ask for. They don't require consent, and you can't turn them off in our banner (you can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may stop working).
- Sign-in session (Supabase cookies whose names start with "sb-") — keeps you signed in to the web app. Kept until you sign out or the session expires.
- gn_locale — remembers the language you chose. Kept for 1 year.
- gn_ref — remembers the referral code from an invitation link so that you and your friend can receive the referral reward. Kept for 30 days.
- Payment security — when you pay, our payment provider Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.
3. Local storage
We also save some information in your browser's local storage:
- gn_consent — remembers whether you pressed Accept or Reject in the cookie banner, so we can respect your choice and don't ask again on every visit. Kept until you change your choice or clear your browser data.
- gn_theme — your light or dark theme preference.
- Questionnaire progress — your answers and a random identifier, so you can continue where you left off if you close the page. We use the same identifier to count, in aggregate, how many people view and complete each step of the questionnaire. This information is not shared with third parties.
Information in local storage stays on your device until you clear your browser data. Your questionnaire answers are also saved on our servers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
We currently don't use third-party analytics cookies. The only optional technology we use is the Meta Pixel, together with Meta's Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.
- What it does: helps us measure and improve the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram — for example, how many people who saw an ad completed the questionnaire or bought a Subscription.
- What is sent to Meta: the pages you visit on our site (via the Pixel) and, via the server-side Conversions API, Lead events (when you complete the questionnaire and give your email) and Purchase events (with the purchase value), together with technical data about your browser and device, the ad click ID and, for matching, a hashed (irreversibly encoded) version of your email address. We never send health data or your questionnaire answers to Meta.
- _fbp — a Meta cookie that identifies your browser so visits and conversions can be measured. Kept for 90 days.
- _fbc — a Meta cookie that stores the ad click ID if you arrived from a Meta ad. Kept for 90 days.
- Meta's own cookies: if you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may also use cookies on its own domains under its own policies.
We load the Meta Pixel and send Conversions API events only for visitors who pressed Accept in the cookie banner. If you reject or later withdraw consent, we don't load it and don't send these events.
For collecting and sending this data, we and Meta are joint controllers. Meta is responsible for its own further use of the data, described in the Meta Privacy Policy. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
5. How to change your choice
- On our website: click Cookie settings at the bottom of the home page, the sign-up questionnaire or any legal document, such as this one. This reopens the cookie banner, where you can accept or reject marketing cookies at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect use before withdrawal.
- In your browser: you can delete cookies and local storage or block cookies in your browser settings. If you clear your browser data, including local storage, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.
6. Mobile apps
Our iOS and Android apps don't use browser cookies. They store your sign-in session and settings on your device so the app works, and they don't use the Meta Pixel. If we ever add tracking that requires your permission in the app (for example under Apple's App Tracking Transparency), we will ask you first.
7. Legal basis
Under EU rules on electronic communications (in Poland, Art. 399 of the Electronic Communications Law — Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), we may store or read information on your device without consent only when it is strictly necessary for a service you have requested. Everything else requires your consent. Personal data processed through cookies is handled under the GDPR, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this policy if we change the cookies we use, and we will ask for your consent again if we add new optional cookies. Questions? Write to contact@gymnavi.app.
